The PWM Power Switch and Braking Module is an optional component specifically designed for motion control systems using the Pico Systems PWM servo amplifiers. It uses power transistors to ramp the drive voltage up and down on the servo amps when going into and out of the E-stop condition. It provides an extra level of safety when the E-stop button is pushed, and connects a braking resistor to absorb energy generated by the spinning motors, quickly and safely bringing them to a stop. It can support 4 or more PWM servo amplifiers, depending on load. |
